Standard kitchen cabinet sizes
Stock sizes from KraftMaid and Wolf. Other lines are close but check the maker's spec book before you order.
Short answer
Base cabinets are 34½ in tall and 24 in deep. With the top on, that's a 36 in counter. Upper cabinets are 12 in deep and 12 to 54 in tall. Both come 6 to 48 in wide, in 3 in steps.

Base cabinet sizes
Every stock base we checked is 34½ in tall, toe kick included. Wolf draws the toe kick 4½ in tall. Depth is 24 in. KraftMaid also sells 12 in shallow bases and 27 in deep ones.

Upper cabinet sizes
Wall cabinets are 12 in deep. Over a fridge you can get them 24 in deep so they line up with the fridge front. Widths match the bases, 6 to 48 in.

Which height you want depends on your ceiling. Hung at the standard 54 in, a 42 in cabinet runs to an 8 ft ceiling. The upper cabinet height guide has the rest.
Tall cabinet sizes
Pantry and oven cabinets come 84, 87, 90, 93, 96 in tall at KraftMaid, and 12 or 24 in deep. An 84 in tall cabinet fits an 8 ft ceiling with a 12 in soffit. A 96 in one is the full 8 ft.
