Outdoor refrigerator cutout dimensions
From each maker's install manual or product page, checked November 2026. Width × depth × height, in inches.
Short answer
A 24 in outdoor fridge usually needs an opening 24 in wide, 24 in deep and about 34½ in tall; most vent out the front and need no side gaps, but the front grille must stay clear. Keep it at least 14 in from the grill (American Outdoor Grill).
By model
| Fridge | Cutout (W × D × H) | Ventilation and limits |
|---|---|---|
| U-Line UODR124 (24 in drawers) | 24 × 24 × 34⅛ to 35⅛ | Front vents: no extra space at top, sides or back, but keep the front grille clear and leave room for the plug; not behind a closed door. Rated 50 to 100°F. |
| True Residential 24 in undercounter | 24 × 24 × 34½ | All True undercounter units are rated for outdoor use. Where it's regularly over 95°F, cut a 4 × 10 in vent at the back of the opening. |
| Blaze 20 in compact (BLZ-SSRF20-4.3) | 22⅝ × 24½ × 34⅛ | The manual says both to keep the front clear and to leave 2 in at the sides and top with ventilation at the back; leave the gaps to be safe. Rated 60 to 90°F, protected from the elements. |
| Summerset RFR-24S | No cutout given (unit 23.4 × 22.8 × 32.3 in) | Front-venting: no extra space at top, sides or rear; don't block the base grille or put it behind a cabinet door. Rated 50 to 109°F. |
Make sure the model is rated for outdoor use, not just a garage fridge, and check its temperature range against your summers. Plan the island with theisland planner and the grill with thegrill cutout guide.
